I wrote 'Hopeless Dreamers' ten years ago when I first moved to the Amalfi Coast of Italy to write music and follow my dreams. I recorded it with my longtime band back in Sydney, Australia and it appeared on my debut EP.

I met Mario Nappi in the summer of 2022 while recording my most recent album in Naples, Italy & from the moment I met him it was clear he was an extraordinary talent.

One day, Mario mentioned to me that he does arrangement work including arrangements for strings. Upon hearing this, I decided to commission Mario with a special work reimagining 'Hopeless Dreamers' for Trio & String Quartet.

Together with Corrado Cirillo, Luca Mignano & the Ondanueve String Quartet (all top musicians in their own right), we created an exquisite reimagining of my song. This is 'Hopeless Dreamers (Restrung)'.

A homage to my hometown
To the dream that turned my life upside down
To all that was
And all that is yet to come.
